About the Position

FreeFrom is looking for a Systems Change Senior Program Manager to coordinate strategies within our systems change work and take our impact to the next level. An ideal applicant is a strategic and creative “big thinker” with significant writing experience who is skilled at supervising others and coordinating simultaneous initiatives. The Systems Change Senior Program Manager should be able to communicate – both in writing and orally – about complex and nuanced topics in a clear and accessible way, and should be a skilled editor of others’ writing. The Systems Change Senior Program Manager should also thrive in a fast-paced and nimble environment, and be willing to iterate approaches where needed.

Whether it is coordinating our federal-level and private sector systems change strategies to reach our overarching systems change objectives; developing and iterating FreeFrom’s narrative approaches to the problem and solutions through report writing and editing; supervising the work of the Federal Policy and Advocacy Specialist and Systems Change Program Specialist; or working with the Director of Systems Change Initiatives to identify overarching goals and strategies; this position is for someone who is excited to leverage new and innovative approaches to change the way the federal government and private sector can and should support survivors of gender-based violence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement systems change goals and strategies
    • In collaboration with the Director of Systems Change Initiatives, identify overarching systems change priorities
    • In collaboration with the Director of Systems Change Initiatives, identify multifaceted strategies for how to achieve priorities
    • Identify, join, and participate in any useful strategic coalitions
    • Create and lead coalitions where needed
    • Speak publicly about FreeFrom’s work and strategies
    • Work with other FreeFrom team members to develop advocacy campaigns around systems change goals
    • Manage and lead campaigns related to systems change goals
    • Work with other FreeFrom team members to develop social media and other communications regarding strategies and campaigns
    • Track and manage leads, connections, and other leverage opportunities to advance systems change goals
  • Lead on major report writing
    • Work with the Director of Systems Change Initiatives to develop org-wide narrative via major reports
    • Plan, coordinate, and oversee FreeFrom’s major report-writing projects (2-3 per year)
    • Act as main editor of major reports, including supervising first draft writers, reviewing and providing feedback,
    • Coordinate with Lead Designer and other team members as needed to keep report development on track to meet timelines
  • Supervise Federal Policy and Advocacy Specialist and Systems Change Program Specialist
    • Supervise and coordinate systems change work in both federal and private sector space
    • Conduct regular check-ins to ensure colleagues have the support and information they need to succeed
  • Otherwise work on and support broader systems change goals and strategies as needed

Qualifications / Requirements

  • 4+ years relevant work experience preferred;
  • Experience as lead writer and/or editor on 2+ major reports;
  • Experience successfully and compassionately supervising a colleague;
  • Strategic project management experience (i.e., coordinating multiple initiatives to advance overarching goals) preferred;
  • Ability to communicate – both in writing and orally – complex and nuanced topics in an accessible way;
  • Strong strategic and creative thinking and planning skills and a track record of innovation;

About the Position

FreeFrom is looking for a dynamic, analytical, and creative Data and Research Senior Manager to join our team. This individual will be a key member of the Data and Research team. In addition to managing staff, they will lead a slate of projects, gathering, analyzing, and presenting data that supports and informs FreeFrom’s programs/initiatives, measures our impact, expands the knowledge base around economic abuse, and reimagines what systems of support for survivors should look like. 

The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced leader who thinks critically, collaboratively, and creatively about data and how it can be harnessed to advance social justice. 

Responsibilities

  • In close collaboration with the Director of Data and Research and the Data and Research Specialist, lead a multi-country, multi-language global research project identifying innovative solutions from around the world that support the economic safety and security of IPV survivors;
  • Simultaneously manage multiple research projects—develop goals, build timelines, track objectives, manage budgets, and report progress weekly to the Director of Data and Research; 
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the team working on the global research as well as other projects;
  • Write research and interview questions and design and edit surveys;
  • Conduct interviews and focus groups;
  • Lead the clean-up and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data;
  • Present data and conclusions in a creative, accessible, aesthetically pleasing, and compelling way; 
  • Draft internal and external reports;
  • Monitor relevant research and reporting on gender-based violence in the U.S. and internationally.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Statistics and data analysis background, both quantitative and qualitative (academic or other professional experience);
  • Previous management experience with a commitment to compassionate leadership and talent development; 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively outreach, expanding networks and bringing folks along;
  • Experience conducting multi-country, multi-language research from a Participatory Action Research framework;
  • Proven ability to present data in an accessible and compelling way; 
  • Proficiency in SPSS (and/or another data analytics package such as STATA, R, etc.);

About the Position

FreeFrom is looking for a Web Developer and Salesforce Administrator to join our team and take our various uses of technology to the next level. An ideal applicant has extensive experience with WordPress, web development, and Salesforce and is excited to maximize the use of technology to support survivors of gender-based violence. The Web Developer and Salesforce Administrator should have a keen eye for detail, comfort addressing complex technical problems, and thrive on the challenge of building something from scratch and managing the entire process. 

Whether it is creating immersive web experiences, building out our Salesforce database to accommodate new data collection needs, or ensuring our data is safe and secure, this position is for someone who is excited to bring their technical expertise to every problem that FreeFrom is working to solve.

Responsibilities

  • Lead our Salesforce platform management and enhancement, including overseeing day-to-day activities and operations of a complex, highly integrated Salesforce implementation, building reports and dashboards in Salesforce, and assisting in mapping and migrating existing data into Salesforce;
  • Develop and roll out Salesforce-based solutions and integrations; 
  • Manage, update, and build out our WordPress site; 
  • Lead the growth, expansion, and continuous updating of our Map and Scorecard and Compensation Compass;
  • Assist with backend coding (e.g., HTML, FormAssembly formulas, etc.) as needed;
  • Lead the creation of future web-based offerings; 
  • Establish and track our web analytics and data collection;
  • Conduct regular audits of website and internal analytics to identify and address where functionality, navigation, design, and content updates are necessary while keeping up with evolving web standards and web practices;
  • Provide direction, guidance, and training to non-technical staff using our technical systems;
  • Conduct audit of FreeFrom’s data security policies and develop a strategy and solutions to ensure the organization’s security and technology infrastructure abides by the highest possible standards (computer and information systems, security, communication systems);
  • Establish a consistent and efficient data governance process at FreeFrom, accounting for the full data life cycle – including collection, configuration, storage, analysis and dissemination;
  • Ensure we are GDPR and CCPA compliant and continuously monitor changes in data security laws, implementing any necessary changes/processes;
  • Ensure smooth delivery and operation of technology services by monitoring systems performance; and
  • Monitor system performance and usage, along with overall database health across all tech platforms utilized by FreeFrom. Help to identify any needs for upgrades or changes in current processes, programs, technology, etc.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent transferable life/professional experience;
  • At least five years’ experience in front end web content management supporting the maintenance, operations, and enhancement of WordPress websites;
  • At least two years of experience with Salesforce administration, ideally with a nonprofit organization or within a nonprofit context;
  • Extensive knowledge in the following areas: Cloud technology, software development, website & application hosting;
  • Experience with usability, accessibility, and demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws, policies, standards, and best practices, including WCAG 2.0;
  • Excellent understanding of network and systems administration, security, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems;
  • Salesforce certification strongly preferred, specifically Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder and/or Nonprofit Cloud Consultant certifications;
  • Experience training and supporting non-technical staff in the use of Salesforce;
  • Experience managing integrations between Salesforce and other systems, including payment processors, email marketing systems and form tools;
  • Experience with any of the tools that we use in conjunction with Salesforce, including FormAssembly, is a plus;
  • Ability to learn quickly as Salesforce rolls out new features and when using existing features for the first time or in a new way;
  • Proficient with data export and import, using Dataloader or other tools, and use of Excel to facilitate uploads and data transformations as well as migrating data between objects or fields;
