FreeFrom’s social enterprise Gifted hosted its first-ever Community Market in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles last week.
The farmer’s market-style event on July 25 featured nearly 40 survivor entrepreneurs selling their handmade products. Members of the community came to shop and support these local survivor-owned small businesses.
Our goal with Gifted is to build survivors’ wealth. We know that survivors have the resilience and creativity that makes us excellent entrepreneurs, so with the community market, we wanted to showcase other local entrepreneurs and boost sales for their businesses.
