Gender-based violence is a systemic issue, impacting 1 in 2 women and 1 in 2 transgender people in the U.S. For survivors, financial insecurity remains the greatest barrier to safety.

FreeFrom’s mission is to create pathways to financial security and safety for survivors so they can thrive and live free from abuse.

With the generous support of people like you, FreeFrom can:

Support survivors directly with innovative, financial security programs, including our Safety Fund flexible cash assistance, Savings Matching Program, and our social enterprise, GIFTED.

Advocate for state and federal legislation that strengthen survivors’ financial security to make widespread change.

Bring banks, employers, and entire industries in to play their part in the movement to end gender-based violence.

Resource and foster a culture of abundance and innovation across the movement.

Produce survivor-led storytelling and first-of-its-kind research to transform the narrative on GBV and inspire action.

When you include a gift to FreeFrom in your will, you leave a powerful legacy of support, care, and healing for survivors.

It can be as simple as talking to your financial advisor or attorney about the percentage or dollar amount you would like to donate to FreeFrom and incorporating this language into your will:

I give and bequeath _________ to FreeFrom, EIN# 47-5033123, 3040 E. 12th Street, Suite 27, Los Angeles, CA 90023, for the organization’s general purposes.

There are also other ways to include FreeFrom in your estate plans. You can name FreeFrom as a beneficiary of an insurance policy, donor-advised fund(s), bank account(s), and/or investment accounts by contacting your account or policy administrator and asking for a change-of-beneficiary form.

We’re also able to accept gifts of property. If you’re interested in exploring this option—or have other questions about how to leave a legacy of joy, possibility, and healing for future generations—please reach out to Em F. Jackson, Director of External Relations at em.jackson@freefrom.org or 310-569-2309.
