About the Position
GIFTED is hiring a Production & Warehouse Specialist to support preparing our planners for shipment (inspecting, wrapping, and packaging), along with gift assembly and general warehouse operations.
This is a physical, warehouse-based role that involves standing for extended periods, using your hands throughout the day, moving materials across our warehouse, and occasional lifting. Work may include assembling items, packing orders, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and functional workspace. Following safety guidelines and proper handling procedures is an essential part of this role to ensure a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, consistent, and takes pride in their work. You should be able to follow instructions closely, communicate clearly with team members, and contribute to a respectful, team-oriented workplace.

LOCATION
This role is based in Los Angeles, CA and requires in-person work at our warehouse. Candidates should be located in or near Los Angeles and able to reliably commute to the warehouse for scheduled shifts.
Responsibilities
Planner Preparation & Assembly
- Inspect planners for quality, accuracy, and any damage prior to shipment
- Wrap planners in newsprint, insert into envelopes, and seal according to established packaging standards
- Tape and label packages as needed to ensure they are ready for shipment
- Maintain consistent output while ensuring careful, detail-oriented work
- Organize completed planners on designated shelves for fulfillment
- Support team flow by staging, collecting, and consolidating finished planners as needed
Gift Assembly & Presentation
- Assemble gift boxes with exceptional care and attention to presentation
- Fold tissue, tie ribbon, label items, and position products with aesthetic consistency
- Follow brand guidelines to ensure each box looks intentional, balanced, and elevated
- Ensure consistency across batches so all boxes meet the same presentation standard
Section Warehouse Support (Movement & Organization)
- Assist with receiving, carrying, and moving incoming shipments (e.g., planners, products, and materials) into the warehouse
- Monitor materials and inventory levels and flag low stock or discrepancies to the team
- Transport boxes, materials, and finished goods throughout the space to support daily operations and workflow
- Move mail cages and prepared shipments to designated pickup areas and return equipment as needed
- Place items in assigned storage areas and help maintain organized, accessible shelving systems
- Break down boxes and support general workspace upkeep, including recycling and disposal of materials
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse environment
Safety & Workspace Care
- Follow all safety procedures and proper handling guidelines for materials and tools
- Handle products with care, especially handmade or delicate items
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout the assembly process
Teamwork & Communication
- Communicate clearly with team members and manager about progress, questions, or issues
- Ask for clarification when instructions are unclear to maintain quality and consistency
- Contribute to a respectful, supportive team environment
Administrative Responsibilities
- Accurately track and complete timesheets
- Submit timesheets on time in accordance with payroll deadlines
Additional Support
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support daily operations
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently replicate visual and presentation standards
- Enjoys hands-on, tactile work and takes pride in creating thoughtful, well-presented products
- Comfortable working on your feet and using your hands for extended periods of time
- Able to follow direction closely while staying organized and maintaining focus when working through steady, high-volume tasks
- Communicates clearly and works well within a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and contribute to a safe workspace

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with production, assembly, packaging, or other hands-on, process-driven work
- Experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or back-of-house support roles
- Familiarity with organizing inventory, shelving systems, or maintaining stock areas
- Experience working in high-volume environments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience following step-by-step processes or using checklists to complete tasks consistently
- Experience handling or packaging products with care, especially delicate or handmade items
- Access to reliable transportation and flexibility to support on shorter notice, as needed
- Interest in or alignment with GIFTED’s mission and survivor-centered work
TRANSPORTATION
- Access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and active car insurance is a plus, as occasional driving for merchandise pick-up may be needed
- Any driving for work will be arranged on a case-by-case basis and requires appropriate documentation and prior approval from HR
- Mileage reimbursement will be provided for approved work-related driving
Availability, Schedule & Hours
This is a seasonal position with a tentative start date of Monday, July 27th, 2026, with hours based on fulfillment needs and order volume. Availability is required during high-volume periods, including holidays, large orders, and special projects.
Most shifts take place Monday through Friday (some Saturdays) between 6:00am and 2:30pm PST, though schedules may vary depending on the time of the season and overall order volume.
Below is a tentative overview of the 2026 season:
- Training & Preparation Period
- Dates: July 27th, 2026 – Mid-November 2026
- Hours: 24 – 40 hours per week
- Overview: Training and prep period including planner inspection, tissue folding, box making, labeling, and wrapping.
- Holiday Fulfillment Period
- Dates: Mid-November 2026 – December 23rd, 2026
- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
- Overview: Holiday store launch and peak gift fulfillment season.
- Post-Holiday On-Call Period
- Dates: After December 23rd, 2026
- Hours: 8 – 40 hours per week as needed
- Overview: After December 23rd, this position becomes fully on-call. You’ll be contacted in advance when support is needed for large orders, campaign pushes, or special events, with the option to accept shifts based on your availability.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a warehouse-based role involving hands-on, physical work, including standing for extended periods, using your hands, and moving materials. The role may require occasional lifting and use of tools such as box cutters, label makers, and other basic equipment. Workspaces are active and shared, with varying noise levels and potential hazards such as trips or falls, requiring awareness of surroundings. Team members are expected to follow all safety guidelines and comply with applicable OSHA standards.
